Our guided bike tour along the Danube, through the picturesque Danube Bend, is perfect for cycling thanks to the excellent cycling infrastructure. Day 1
Arrival, check-in, dinner at hotel.
Day 2
The most beautiful cycling routes on the banks including the historic town of Vac (40 km)
Bike ride from the hotel to the ferry in Szob. Ferry crossing to the left bank of the Danube Bend.
Bike ride on a very good bike path from Szob to Zebegeny: small tour in the picturesque village.
Continue to Nagymaros, photo stop on the bank of the Danube with a view of the romantic fortress of Visegrad. Going on the bank – bike path over excellent villages to Vac. City tour in the small town. The train takes you back to Szob. Ferry crossing and bike ride to the hotel. Dinner at hotel.
Day 3
National Park visit with train ride 45 Km
After visiting the Basilica in Esztergom, bike ride to Párkány (Sturovo). Going by bike on a short distance in Slovakia to Nagybörzsöny: In this cute village you have free time to discover the artists’ houses. Ride with the small train through dark green forests to Nagyirtaspuszta. Here we change trains and continue to Marianosztra (a fairy-tale village with Paul’s monastery from the 14th century) with the small train to Szob. Ferry crossing on the Danube and bike ride to the hotel. Dinner at hotel.
Day 4
Budapest, 30 Km
Travel from Esztergom to Budapest by train. City tour by bike including the Heroes’s Square, Andrassy Boulevard, St. Stephen’s Basilica, Danube Bank, Margaret Island. On the Buda side you visit the Castle District with Matthias Church and Fisherman’s Bastion. Free time in the Market Hall. Return to Esztergom by train. Dinner at hotel.
