Danube in flames

20 August is Hungary’s most important national day: celebrating the foundation of the Hungarian state and honoring St. Stephen, the first king. In Budapest, a rich program awaits you: the traditional St. Stephen’s Procession with the Holy Right relic, the spectacular air show over the Danube, and the much-loved Festival of Crafts in the Castle District, where artisans showcase centuries-old traditions. In the evening, the celebration reaches its highlight with the breathtaking fireworks over the Danube, turning the city into a glittering sea of lights. Join the locals in this unforgettable celebration of culture, history, and festivity!

Sightseeing in Budapest- Puszta Program with dinner

in the morning sightseeing in Pest including the Heroes’ Sguare, Andrássy Boulevard, St. Stephens Basilica, Parliament, Synagoge, Gellért Hill (exterior visits). Individual lunch break in the Market Hall. Travel to the Puszta: a unique example of the harmonious coexistence of people and nature. From
the bus you change to a horse-drawn carriage and drive out into the Puszta, where you can admire the show and enjoy dinner with gypsy music. Return to Budapest.

Handcraft market – excursion Szentendre to the firework show

In the morning you have the opportunity to individually discover the handcraft market festival in the castle district: every year in August there is an unusually colorful hustle and bustle in Buda Castle for four days: sculptors, weavers, potters, toy makers, bakers and other craftsmen set up their booth around the palace. Folk dance groups and music complete the picture (entry for a fee). Afternoon: half-day tour to Szentendre, a jewel in the Danube Bend, a small artist town where the cultures of East and West meet. You can discover the small town on foot. Return to the hotel. In the evening:
Firework show on the Danube Bank. Optional: You can also have the privilege to admire the show from the deck of a Danube ship with drinks and snacks € 72, – /person (sweet and salty pastries, biscuits; unlimited drinks of wine, beer, mineral water, soft drink) or with dinner € 129,-.
